The P Ramlee: Satu Indiepretasi tribute compilation featuring 17 of the most popular independent artists from around Malaysia, including Hujan, Bittersweet, Meet Uncle Hussain, Azlan & the Typewriter, SevenCollar T-Shirt, Yuna, Monoloque, Altiment and more, will be released in 7-Eleven stores around Malaysia on the week of the 20th April. The album, set to be officially released on the 20th of April 2011, has been highly anticipated since Astro launched the campaign at the end of last year.

Each other these artists came together in a campaign headed by Adly Syairi Ramly, boss of X Fm Radio, to mark a special tribute to the legendary P Ramlee. 20 different artists came together out of passion to participate in this project. The songs were released in December on radio as well as digital release on Maxis. After receiving overwhelming success and demand for the songs on radio, Laguna Music teamed up together with Digital Trinity Entertainment and X Fm to make this physical release a reality.

7-Eleven Malaysia will make the album available on the 7-Eleven Music rack in all stores throughout Peninsular Malaysia, making it more convenient for local music followers to get a copy of this collectors item. Since the launch of the 7-Eleven Music campaign in December last year, albums by Yuna, SevenCollar T-Shirt & PureVibracion, have has a drastic increase in sales. The release of this album will be a great addition to the 7-Eleven Music rack. PureVibracion's Love & peace album will be coming off the shelf to accommodate this new release.
